Fostering Youth Employment through Shared Experiences Vitoria's Youth and Employment Conference: Unveiling Insights for Young Individuals
Every journey reaches a point of reflection and contemplation, drawing upon the lessons acquired. Such was the culmination of the Erasmus+ project "Path to a Job," led by Fundación Adsis in Álava, Spain, alongside esteemed international partners: Fundazione Mondo Digitale (Italy), Centro de Conocimiento Vinalab (Spain), and Friday People (England).
On November 9th, Vitoria-Gasteiz became the backdrop for an event that encapsulated an overview and conclusions derived from the "Path to a Job" project. The occasion witnessed a knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices on training processes and employment promotion tailored for young individuals facing vulnerabilities.
Hosted at the historic Villa Suso Palace, the event featured a discussion panel shedding light on the current state of youth employment in Spain. Participants included the Delegate Councilor of the Department of Employment and Sustainable Economic Development of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, the director of Fundación Vital, a representative from Sidenor, a young participant in a training program with Adsis, and the director of Fundación Adsis Álava.
"Navigating professional life is challenging; it requires preparation, and it goes beyond merely holding a degree. It involves possessing the desire, motivation, and the ability to collaborate in a team. Thanks to our dedicated teachers, we are now equipped with the necessary preparation," shared Abdul, a former student of the foundation.
The event concluded with an inspiring message from Iñaki Prusilla, the Delegate Councilor of Euskera, Youth, and Rural Area. He encouraged young individuals by stating, "Any effort you invest now is pivotal, and as you grow older, you will comprehend the true worth of your endeavors."
Complementing the conference, the Palace hosted the thought-provoking exhibition titled "Inequality for Opportunity." This photographic exhibition, a collaboration between Fundación Adsis, photographer Lucho Rengifo, and illustrator Esther Labeaga, was crafted in honor of Adsis's 50th anniversary.
Having devoted two years to the European project "Path to a Job," Fundación Adsis takes pride in the remarkable outcomes achieved through the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the realm of youth labor insertion.
